We need to ensure optimal production from installed PV panels. Solar panels are prone to soiling because of the outside dusty environment and airborne foreign objects. The soling by dusts, ashes from wildfires, snow, leaves, rain, pollen, birds’ droppings and feathers can obstructs sun rays on the panel surface and reduce energy productions significantly, up to 40%. This is huge energy production loss. Even 2% loss in energy production can be detrimental to solar energy economics.
